Well, here it is.......a mother's day card I am really proud of. I think spring when I look at the colors and I especially love the stamp set I used, Vintage Vogue. My inspiration for this card came from another Stampin' Up demonstrator, Laurie Zoellmer. I changed up the color combo to brighten the look of the card.
The Vintage Vogue stamp set came out in the Occasions Mini this past spring and will be carried over to the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. Yahoo!
Here are the card ingredients:
Cardstock: Lovely Lilac, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Kiwi Kiss (retired In Color), Marvelous Magenta (retired)
Stamp Sets: Vintage Vogue, All Holidays
Accessories: scallop border punch, dimensionals, snail adhesive, paper snips, half pearl, crystal effects
Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

New Color Samples!

Early Espresso with Pink Pirouette

Cherry Cobbler with Crumb Cake

Marina Mist with Tangerine Tango

Daffodil Delight with Baja Breeze

Cajun Craze with Wild Wasabi

Happy Monday everyone! I decided to create sample cards featuring the five new vibrant core colors that will be available July 1st with the release of the 2010 - 2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I have paired them each with a returning In Color, except for the Cherry Cobbler. I paired that sample card with Crumb Cake (formerly Kraft). My inspiration for these cards was found on the Stampin' Pretty blog, created by Mary Fish. You have to check out her projects - she is amazing!

Look for a Mother's Day card later this week. Thanks for stopping by today!

Decorative Tiles

I've been wanting to try my hand at creating decorative tiles for many months. I've seen them on Kimberly Van Diepen's blog, Stampin' by the Sea, and my BFF, Tina, made one for me as a Post-It note holder. Kimberly used a stencil, craft ink, and clear embossing powder. I decided to try StazOn ink. Wednesday was Administrative Professional's Day so I decided that this would be the perfect week to give it a try. I have 10 co-workers and this will be a perfect gift for them!

Here are the project ingredients:

Ink: StazOn - Timber Brown and Olive Green

Stamp Sets: Dreams du Jour, Upsy Daisy, Inspired by Nature, Sense of Time

Accessories: 6 x 6 ceramic tile, StazOn All Purpose Cleaner (to clean stamps), sponge daubers, plate stand

StazOn is the required type of ink to use on ceramic tiles. It is a fast drying solvent ink. You can also use it on plastic, metal, glass, laminated paper, and leather. It dries in 3 - 5 minutes on non-porous surfaces. Stampin' Up sells black and white. I purchased my colored StazOn ink pads from Hobby Lobby. This really was an easy project - the most difficult part was making sure I stamped straight down on the tile so the images would not smear.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and thanks for stopping by!

It's A Boy Journal

Today's post was inspired by a project I saw in the February issue of Stampin' Success. I have a friend that will be a grandma in a few months so I thought I would decorate the outside of a Stampin' Up art journal for her daughter. The journal pages are blank so she can record her thoughts and feelings as her pregnancy progresses. She could also add some snapshots to the pages. Here are the project ingredients:

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy

Designer Series Paper (DSP): Summer Picnic

Ink: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede

Stamp Set: Nursery Necessities

Accessories: white gel pen, Playground designer button, star punch, Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, paper piercing tool, snail adhesive, mini glue dots, dimensionals, On Board Art Journal, chipboard letter "b"

My First Post!

I took the plunge and created a blog this evening. I'm feeling like an old dog that has many new tricks to learn. This week I received the newest issue of Stampin' Success that introduced demonstrators to the Color Renovation announced last week. It is a beautiful issue! I am really excited about the new color collections and have already started thinning out my ink and paper that will be retired at the end of June. Stampin' Up also sent us a sample of the 5 new colors - Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist. I cannot wait to get my fingers inky and make a card with some of the new colors. Remember that you can order from my Stampin' Up website 24/7 at: http://www.angiej_crazy4stampin.stampinup.net/. I hope to create a blog that will inspire you to create wonderful cards and paper creations!
