The first step was to color the wooden letters and applying the Distress Stickles to each letter. It takes several hours for the stickles to dry, but I really love the extra sparkle they give to the project! I used Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and a sponge to give a vintage look to all of the paper pieces before adhering them into the box and onto the card stock. For a little extra bling, I used Iridescent Ice embossing powder on the small evergreen tree as well as a few spritzes of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.
Here is my finished product! I plan to make several more of these as Christmas gifts. They don't take long to create once the design and layout have been finalized.

ReplyDeleteAngie, what a great idea to make a shadow box. How patient you were to let the Stickles dry on your letters, too!
