Button Snowman

Today I found a really cute card that I wanted to CASE.   It is from Stasia Sloma's Blog - Stampin' and Scrappin' with Stasia.  She has a great blog and I loved the card she made with the new Big Designer Buttons that Stampin' Up introduced in the holiday mini catalog.  Stasia used the colors baja breeze with blushing bride and I wanted to try out a non-traditional color combo.   Here are my card ingredients:

CS:  old olive, whisper white, melon mambo
DSP:  Ski Slope (retired)
Ink:  melon mambo (use a sponge to ink the edges of the hat)
Accessories:  big designer buttons - Deck the Halls, melon mambo ribbon, basic pearls, stampin' dimensionals,  lattice embossing folder, glue dots, mono adhesive

Thanks for stopping by today!

Fall Journal

A few weeks ago I attended a women's retreat with some girlfriends from my church. As part of the retreat, the group leader asked me if I could bring some SU! supplies so we could each decorate a composition journal. So I dug through the many layers of DSP that I have and found some retired DSP that would be perfect for decorating a fall composition journal. Here is my finished product:

Journal Ingredients:
1 composition journal

sage shadow textured CS (retired)
more mustard textured CS

Fabulous Fall Card Class!

Last night I attended a card class at Frozen In Time, the newest scrapbook store in Wichita. We made four Fall/Halloween Cards. I was so excited about the evening because I learned 1 new technique (Gamsol Magic) and used 3 products that I had never tried before: a Tim Holtz stamp, shaker cards and Flower Soft. The card with the witch used the Gamsol Magic technique. The thank you card used Flower Soft around the base of the pumpkin. The skull card and spider card are the shaker cards. The class was small - 4 participants and I came home with some new clear stamps! I'll definitely be attending another class in October.
Happy Stamping!
