A Second Challenge - Pals Paper Arts Challenge #70

I follow the blogs of several of the designers from Pals Paper Arts so today I decided to throw my hat into the ring of their weekly challenge.   This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and here is my entry:

Card Ingredients:

CS:  Chocolate Chip (textured), Real Red (textured), Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
DSP:  Greenhouse Gala
Stamp Set:  Short and Sweet, Friends Never Fade
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Versa Mark, White Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

I have loved the Greenhouse Gala paper since the new catalog came out and felt it would make a great centerpiece for my entry in the PPA challenge.   Hope you like it!

It's A Boy!

One of my co-workers had her first baby a couple of weeks ago and I've been wanting to make a special card for her and her husband.  She is a scrapbooker and card maker so I know she will appreciate a handmade card.   I knew I wanted to use Nursery Necessities - one of my all-time favorite stamp sets.  When paired with the Parisian Breeze DSP, it just makes my heart smile!  Here is the design I created:

Card Ingredients:

CS:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze
DSP:  Parisian Breeze (retired)
Classic Ink:  Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze
Stamp Set:  Nursery Necessities (retired)
Accessories:  Extra-Large Star Punch, Basic Pearls, Button Latte Button, Linen Thread, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Effects (to adhere button)
Card Size:  5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

I hope you enjoyed today's post - have a great Saturday!!!

Button Snowman

Today I found a really cute card that I wanted to CASE.   It is from Stasia Sloma's Blog - Stampin' and Scrappin' with Stasia.  She has a great blog and I loved the card she made with the new Big Designer Buttons that Stampin' Up introduced in the holiday mini catalog.  Stasia used the colors baja breeze with blushing bride and I wanted to try out a non-traditional color combo.   Here are my card ingredients:

CS:  old olive, whisper white, melon mambo
DSP:  Ski Slope (retired)
Ink:  melon mambo (use a sponge to ink the edges of the hat)
Accessories:  big designer buttons - Deck the Halls, melon mambo ribbon, basic pearls, stampin' dimensionals,  lattice embossing folder, glue dots, mono adhesive

Thanks for stopping by today!
