Time to Create!

I know it's been awhile since my last post. Life threw me a curveball and our daughter decided to leave K-State after 3 semesters and moved home in December.  She decided she wanted to transfer to Wichita State and save money for a car.   Having her home has been a bit of a challenge for her dad and I.   I didn't realize what an adjustment it would be, especially since she decided to adopt a dog too.   Needless to say, between work and home life, I was overwhelmed and stressed for several weeks, but I am happy to report that I am finally on the mend and feeling much better.  :)    Now, onto a couple of my newest creations!

Graduation Card - totally inspired by Mary Fish's blog, Stampin' Pretty on May 11th.

New  Baby Card - I designed this card for The Paper Players 100th Challenge.  I didn't get it uploaded in time for the challenge as I couldn't find the cord to my camera, but I based the card off of the sketch from The Paper Players Challenge #16.

I'll be posting more this weekend as I plan to jump back into several blog challenges!

It's A Boy!

One of my co-workers had her first baby a couple of weeks ago and I've been wanting to make a special card for her and her husband.  She is a scrapbooker and card maker so I know she will appreciate a handmade card.   I knew I wanted to use Nursery Necessities - one of my all-time favorite stamp sets.  When paired with the Parisian Breeze DSP, it just makes my heart smile!  Here is the design I created:

Card Ingredients:

CS:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze
DSP:  Parisian Breeze (retired)
Classic Ink:  Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze
Stamp Set:  Nursery Necessities (retired)
Accessories:  Extra-Large Star Punch, Basic Pearls, Button Latte Button, Linen Thread, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Effects (to adhere button)
Card Size:  5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

I hope you enjoyed today's post - have a great Saturday!!!

It's A Boy Journal

Today's post was inspired by a project I saw in the February issue of Stampin' Success. I have a friend that will be a grandma in a few months so I thought I would decorate the outside of a Stampin' Up art journal for her daughter. The journal pages are blank so she can record her thoughts and feelings as her pregnancy progresses. She could also add some snapshots to the pages. Here are the project ingredients:

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy

Designer Series Paper (DSP): Summer Picnic

Ink: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede

Stamp Set: Nursery Necessities

Accessories: white gel pen, Playground designer button, star punch, Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, paper piercing tool, snail adhesive, mini glue dots, dimensionals, On Board Art Journal, chipboard letter "b"

Thanks for stopping in today!
